The Peterborough Jr C Lakers Lacrosse Team is currently on the lookout for a highly skilled and passionate individual to join our team as a Volunteer Photographer. As a valued member of our team, you will be responsible for capturing the thrill, energy, and camaraderie of our lacrosse games, practices, and events. Your visually striking photographs will help to enhance the team's image, captivate fans, and preserve unforgettable moments throughout the season.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Game Coverage: Attend Peterborough Jr C Lakers' home and away games to capture action shots, pivotal moments, and the team's competitive spirit on the field.
Practice Sessions (optional): Document the team's practices, emphasizing skill development, teamwork, and the guidance of the coaching staff to showcase the players' dedication and progress.
Event Documentation: Cover various team events, including fundraisers, community outreach programs, and social gatherings, to highlight the team's involvement beyond the lacrosse floor.
Player Portraits: Coordinate with players and coaching staff to capture individual and group portraits, contributing to the creation of a comprehensive photographic roster.
Photo Editing: Edit and enhance photographs to ensure they meet the highest quality standards, making them suitable for social media, the team's website, and promotional materials.
Timely Delivery: Provide a quick turnaround for delivering edited photos to the team's media or communications coordinator, ensuring timely distribution across official channels.
Collaboration: Work closely with the social media and communications director, coaching staff, players, and fellow volunteers to align photography efforts with the Peterborough Jr C Lakers' overall vision and goals.
Photo Credit: The Peterborough Jr. C Lakers will make sure to tag and credit all the photos used in their posts.

REQUIREMENTS:

Photography Skills: Proficient in photography techniques, equipment usage, and photo editing software.
Availability: Flexibility to accommodate games, practices, and events, which may include weekends and evenings.
Passion for Lacrosse: A genuine interest in lacrosse and a solid understanding of the game to effectively capture its spirit through photography.
Team Player: Ability to collaborate with coaches, players, and fellow volunteers, contributing to a positive and cohesive team environment.
Own Equipment: Access to personal photography equipment, including a camera and lenses, for capturing high-quality images.
Reliability: Dependable and punctual, with a commitment to consistently fulfilling assigned responsibilities.

The Peterborough Jr C Lakers Lacrosse Team is currently accepting portfolio submissions for the Volunteer Photographer position. We invite talented and passionate individuals to share their portfolios showcasing their photography skills and experience. We look forward to reviewing your work and finding a dedicated photographer to capture the essence of our team.

As part of our commitment to the safety and well-being of our community, the Peterborough Jr C Lakers Lacrosse Team requires that applicants over the age of 18 undergo a Canadian police check in the vulnerable sector for the duration of the season. We understand the importance of this requirement and are pleased to cover the associated fees to ensure a secure environment for all involved. A copy would be held by our privacy officer. Your cooperation in this matter is appreciated, as we prioritize the welfare of our team members and volunteers.
